Turkler already lies west of Alanya on the coast road towards Manavgat, so the drive to the Green Canyon area runs scenically along the sea before the jeeps leave the asphalt and climb into the Taurus Mountains.
The first off-road section leads to the arches of an ancient Roman aqueduct that once carried water to Side, followed by panoramic views over the canyon and the Mediterranean; a small zoo can be visited if you like. Water fights between the jeeps keep everyone laughing. The highlight is a one-hour boat trip on the Green Canyon, the emerald dam lake of Oymapınar framed by pine-covered cliffs, with a stop of about 30 minutes for swimming – life jackets are on board.
