From Avsallar to Pamphylia
We confirm your exact pickup time after booking. The tour runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays. From Avsallar the air-conditioned bus heads west along the D400, past Manavgat and on towards Serik – roughly an hour and a quarter to Aspendos, with your guide introducing the region on the way.
Aspendos stands near the river the Greeks called the Eurymedon – the same Köprüçay that rafters ride in the canyon further upstream. Its theatre was built in the 2nd century AD and is among the best-preserved of the ancient world: the stage wall still rises to its full height, and the Seljuks later used the building as a caravanserai, which helped it survive. Today it hosts concerts and festival performances in summer. The next stop is Side, where the guide walks you past the monumental gate, the agora and the theatre to the Temple of Apollo on the shore; then there is free time in the lanes and at the harbour. Lunch is an open buffet at a restaurant near the Manavgat River, and the last stop is the Manavgat Waterfall, with tea gardens beside the rushing water. The bus brings you back to Avsallar in the late afternoon.
