From Avsallar to Turkler harbour

After a safety briefing and a quick introduction to the rods and reels, the captain heads for the fishing grounds, using the fish finder to choose the spots. No licence and no experience are needed – the crew shows you how to bait the hook and when to strike. Most catches are small and medium-sized Mediterranean fish; big ones are rare here, so this is a relaxed outing rather than a sport-fishing hunt. Late in the morning the boat anchors in Fuğla Bay for a swim in clear water, and lunch – grilled fish or chicken with salad and rice – is served on deck. After a few last casts the boat returns to the harbour, and you are back at your hotel in Avsallar in the early afternoon.
