An evening in the mountains, starting in Avsallar
We confirm your exact pickup time after booking. The 4×4 vehicles call at your hotel in the late afternoon and follow the coast east past Turkler and Konakli before the road turns inland and starts to climb – the beach day is over, the second part of the day begins.
The first goal is a terrace high above the town, timed for sunset: the Mediterranean turns gold and the castle peninsula of Alanya lights up below. Dinner is served in a mountain village, with home cooking and the warm welcome of the Taurus, and afterwards musicians and dancers show regional folk dances – guests are soon pulled into the circle. Then the safari continues on forest tracks in the dark; if you are lucky, the headlights catch a fox, a wild boar or an owl. The night ends around a campfire beneath an extraordinary number of stars, and around midnight you are back at your hotel in Avsallar.
