The D400 runs right through Avsallar, so a long-distance trip starts as soon as you leave the hotel drive. Westwards it is a short hop to Side and Manavgat, then on to the golf resorts of Belek, Antalya’s old town Kaleiçi, Kemer and the Lycian coast at Kaş and Fethiye. Over the Taurus, inland roads lead to Konya and Cappadocia, while the big journeys – Pamukkale, Ephesus, Bodrum, Izmir, even Istanbul – are timed entirely to suit you, as a one-way trip or a return.
