From Konakli to the launch site
Alanya, where the flights start, is only about 12 km from Konakli, so the transfer is short. We confirm your exact pickup time after booking. At the paragliding station you register and get your equipment checked, then a 4×4 jeep climbs for about 20 minutes to Yassı Tepe, the 700-metre launch site above town.
Your pilot explains the take-off – usually just a few running steps into the wind – and clips you into the tandem harness. Then you are airborne: for around 20 minutes you float above the walls of the castle, the red roofs of the old town and the long sweep of the coast, with the Taurus Mountains rising behind you. The landing is on Cleopatra Beach, often to the applause of sunbathers. A camera on the wing films your flight, and back on the ground you can watch the photos and video and buy them if you like. Allow three to four hours from pickup to drop-off.
