Rafting in Köprülü Canyon is the most popular adventure day trip on the Turkish Riviera, and for good reason: the cold, crystal-clear Köprüçay river winds through a deep canyon of pine forests and limestone cliffs, with rapids that are exciting but suitable for beginners. No experience is needed – a professional skipper steers every raft and explains everything before you start.

14 km on the Köprüçay river

After the transfer to the national park, you receive a helmet, life jacket and paddle and join a short safety briefing. The rafting route covers about 14 km and is split into sections, with calm stretches where you can jump into the water and swim, and lively rapids where the whole team paddles together. Along the way you pass the historic Roman stone bridge that gave the canyon its name – köprü means bridge in Turkish.

Lunch by the river and a relaxed return

Between the sections, a traditional lunch is served at a riverside restaurant. After the last rapids you change into dry clothes, can buy the photos and videos taken by the professional team, and travel back to your hotel in the early evening.
