Across the Alanya coast: Gazipaşa – Avsallar
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is about 65 km east of Avsallar. Heading west, the coast road runs through Mahmutlar and Alanya town, then past Konakli and Turkler; expect a little over an hour on the road, depending on traffic and your hotel’s position. It is a small terminal where formalities rarely take long, though it has fewer flights than Antalya, so check which airport your airline flies to.
Once you have booked, pass on your flight number and the hotel you are staying at. Your driver keeps track of the arrival and is there in the hall holding a sign with your name – a delayed plane is no problem, as he waits for up to an hour after landing without charging extra. The minivan (VW Transporter or Mercedes Vito, up to 8 people) or minibus is reserved for your group alone, he stows the luggage, and seats for children and babies cost nothing if you ask for them. We drive at any hour, so late-night and dawn arrivals are covered. On your last day he collects you from Avsallar at the time you agreed and takes you back to the terminal.
