The boats are wide, shaded river cruisers, with soft drinks included on board. For about two hours you drift downstream past reed beds, orchards and riverside villages, with the Taurus mountains behind you, until the river widens and meets the Mediterranean. Here the boat moors at a strip of sand where you can swim in the river or walk a few steps and swim in the sea. Lunch is served on board: grilled fish or chicken with salad and rice. After the cruise the bus takes you to the Manavgat Waterfall – entrance included – for photos and a glass of tea in the gardens beside the cascades, and then to the weekly market, where stalls sell fruit, spices, textiles and souvenirs. In the late afternoon you are back in Avsallar.
