Avsallar – Manavgat – Side
We confirm your exact pickup time after booking. The tour runs on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From Avsallar the bus follows the D400 west; Manavgat, the first stop, is only about 40 km away, and Side lies just beyond it on a small peninsula.
The day starts at the Külliye Mosque in Manavgat, a modern mosque on the riverbank and the largest in Antalya province – your guide explains how it is used and what to look out for inside. The name Side is said to mean “pomegranate” in an old Anatolian language, and the fruit appeared on the city’s coins. A one-hour walk with a licensed guide leads past the theatre, the colonnaded street and the agora to the Temple of Apollo, whose columns stand right at the water’s edge. Afterwards you have an hour to yourself among the shops and cafés of the harbour. Lunch – chicken, pasta, rice and salad – is served at the Hidden Paradise restaurant, and from there a short path through the woods leads to the waterfall, where you can swim in the cool natural pools before the drive back to Avsallar.
Tips for the day
- For the mosque, cover shoulders and knees; women should bring a scarf to cover their hair.

- Drinks are not included – take cash for the cafés of Side.
