Avsallar – Alanya – Yassı Tepe

We confirm your exact pickup time after booking. Alanya is about 24 km east of Avsallar, so the transfer along the D400, past Turkler and Konakli, takes around 35–40 minutes. At the paragliding station you register and your equipment is checked, and then a 4×4 climbs for about 20 minutes to the launch site on Yassı Tepe, at roughly 700 metres.

Up on the hill your pilot runs through the take-off: a harness check, a few instructions and, when the wind is right, a few running steps until the wing lifts you off the ground. The flight lasts around 20 minutes. Below you lie the walls and towers of Alanya Castle on its rocky peninsula, the harbour and the long beaches of the town; on a clear day you can follow the coast west towards Avsallar. The landing is on the sand of Cleopatra Beach, where you can watch the photos and video your pilot recorded with a camera on the wing and buy them if you like. Then the transfer brings you back to your hotel – the whole outing takes three to four hours.

Good to know before you fly

• Tell us each passenger’s weight when booking, so the right pilot and wing can be assigned.
• Wear closed shoes that stay on your feet for the take-off run.
• There is no fixed age limit; minors fly with a parent’s consent.
