Avsallar – Sapadere
We confirm your exact pickup time after booking. Sapadere lies on the far side of Alanya, so this is one of the earlier starts from Avsallar: the route runs east along the coast, through the town and on towards Demirtaş, before the jeeps leave the main road and head up into the Taurus foothills.
The first stop is among the banana plantations, with the coast spread out below. Next comes the Dwarves Cave, a small limestone cave you can visit if you like (the entrance is paid separately), and a short break in the village of Sapadere itself. Between the stops the jeeps take turns soaking each other – the driver will warn you, but phones belong in a bag. Lunch is grilled chicken with salad and pasta or rice, with grilled fish as an option. The afternoon belongs to the canyon: a boardwalk and steps follow the stream past small waterfalls to natural pools, and there is time to swim if you can face water of around 12 °C. In the late afternoon the convoy heads back to the coast and drops you at your hotel in Avsallar.
What to bring
- Non-slip shoes: the wooden paths and steps in the canyon are often wet.
- Swimwear and a towel if you want to try the pools.
- A waterproof pouch for your phone and camera during the water fights.
- Some cash for drinks and the cave entrance.
Hotel pickup and drop-off in Avsallar, the jeep safari with a guide, lunch and the canyon entrance are included; you pay on the tour day. Prefer a jeep day with a boat ride? Have a look at the Green Canyon jeep safari from Avsallar.
